CASTING OUR CARES

Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

1 PETER 5:7

Problems are inevitable in life—they are woven into the fabric of our day-to-day living. So it’s no wonder that we struggle with anxiety—sometimes to the point that it cripples us and prevents us from experiencing joy and fulfillment.

But God didn’t create us to handle the troubles of this world on our own, which is why He tells us to cast our burdens on Him and allow Him to care for us.

How do you do this? How do you turn your troubles over to Him? It begins by simply talking to your heavenly Father. Why? Because prayer shifts your focus away from the problem to the One who can handle it, giving you the solution and revealing the next step for you to take.

Therefore acknowledge your anxiety and your need for God’s peace. Confess any sin that you believe may be associated with your fears. Say to the Lord, “I need Your help, presence, comfort, provision, and direction.” Then look heavenward to your Father and be confident that He will, indeed, take care of you.

Father, I release my cares to You and ask that You bless me with Your divine comfort and provision, amen.
